This is a page for my pictures from my trip to New York City in December of 2006. Some of the pictures are a little blurry, but I decided to keep them in so I would remember what I saw while I was there.
A few of the albums are large, so it might take a while for the thumbnails to download. (The Natural History Museum has about 288 pictures. The MET I broke into several groups to reduce the number.)
There are a lot of things to see and do in New York. For the most part the city is dirty and crowded. A very different environment than I am used to in Dallas, Texas. Once you learn the subways system, and use of cabs, it is a very easy city to get around in. However, the subways do get crowded at times. So those who are claustrophobic beware! After seeing the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, The Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, etc. the main reasons to back would have to be the Museums and Broadway. This trip I went to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Cloisters, and the American Museum of Natural History; and saw Beauty and the Beast and Phantom of the Opera.
Here are some selected pictures. Select from the categories on the left for more pictures.
